Handyman Services in Riverview, FL

A bedroom fan that rattles, a torn lanai screen, a hairline crack in the stucco by the garage. Riverview homes are young, but they still collect a list, and we would be glad to work through yours.

The Handyman Company sends its own licensed handymen to homes across Riverview, FL, ZIP codes 33578, 33579, and 33569, south of Brandon in Hillsborough County. The company has repaired Florida homes since 1999. Carpentry and repair lists are about half of the work Riverview hires it for, and drywall is about one job in seven.

Fans & screens

Riverview asks us for both more than most places we work, so the handyman rolls in with screen, spline, and a fan brace on the truck.

Year round

January brings as many Riverview calls as July. Whenever the list is ready, so are we.

Ceiling Fan and Accent Lighting Swaps in Riverview Bedrooms

Many Riverview homes came with builder fans in every bedroom. Ten or fifteen years on, those fans wobble, hum, or lose a speed. Fans and light fixtures are one of the jobs Riverview calls us for more than most of the towns we serve.

The handyman takes the old fan down and checks that the ceiling box is rated to carry a fan. Then the new one goes up on the same box, wired like for like, and balanced so it runs quiet on high. If the drywall around the old canopy is chipped or stained, he patches and paints it on the same trip. A new circuit or a new switch location goes to a licensed electrician, and we tell you that before any work starts.

A bedroom fan to replace, and the LED strip accent lighting in the same room to replace too. That is one short visit. The fan goes up on the existing box, and the new strip lights go in where the old ones ran, on the connection that is already there.

Lanai Screens and Stucco Cracks on Newer Riverview Homes

Most Riverview houses are block and stucco with a screened lanai out back. Both take a beating here. Summer storms tear screen panels, and the stucco develops hairline cracks around windows, garage corners, and the top of the foundation as the house settles in.

A torn panel gets new screen rolled into the frame with fresh spline, and a screen door that drags gets rehung so it latches. Pool-cage roofs are outside our screen work. If your HOA has an approved paint color, give us the name and we match it. On the stucco, the handyman opens the crack, fills it with a patch that moves with the wall, and matches the texture so paint covers it clean. We repair cracks and patches. If a whole wall is failing, we will say so at the estimate.

  • Torn lanai and porch panels rescreened with new spline
  • Screen doors rehung, with new closers and latches
  • Stucco cracks opened, filled, and textured to match
  • Soft trim at door frames cut out and replaced before paint
  • Patched walls painted to match the rest of the house

Can a Handyman Rework a Kitchen Cabinet in Riverview?

Yes, and it is the kind of carpentry Riverview hands us most. Carpentry is a little over a quarter of our Riverview work. Much of it is changing a builder kitchen to fit how a family actually lives: a cabinet taken out for an appliance, a door that sags, a pantry with too few shelves.

Our carpenters are our own employees. They cut the opening square, frame it so the counter stays fully supported, and finish the sides so the new piece looks like it came with the kitchen. Painting the cabinets is the one kitchen job we do not take. Drywall comes up here a lot too, so if a wall gets marked up along the way, the same handyman can patch the drywall before he packs up.

Take out a section of kitchen cabinet to make room for a beverage cooler, fix a few other cabinets, and put pull-down attic stairs in the garage. All of it fits on one written estimate. If the cooler needs a new outlet, a licensed electrician adds it before the cooler slides in.

What Customers Wrote After the handyman Left

Riverview jobs are reviewed on our Tampa profile, alongside the rest of the county.

“The Handyman Company did a great job from beginning to end on the backsplash in my kitchen. Their communication was excellent, they showed up when they said they would and their workmanship was incredible. I had talked to a few companies prior and it was like pulling teeth trying to get those guys to follow up. The Handyman Company is run like a company is supposed to be run. I have already booked them for another job on my house and would recommend them to anyone looking for any type of work on their house.”

Riverview, From the Alafia River to Big Bend Road

Riverview is unincorporated Hillsborough County, so there is no city hall. Any permit comes from the county. It has grown fast, from about 2,200 people in 1970 to more than 107,000 in 2020, so most homes here are block and stucco built in the last thirty years. We work all three Riverview ZIP codes, 33578, 33579, and 33569, and about four in ten of our Riverview jobs are in 33578.

The handyman heads south from our Tampa office on Falkenburg Road by way of Interstate 75 or US 301. The same team covers Brandon, Gibsonton, Apollo Beach, and Valrico, so a house just past the Riverview line is no trouble at all.

Riverview Questions, Answered

Who is the best handyman in Riverview, FL?

The Handyman Company has served Tampa Bay homeowners since 1999 and sends its own employee handymen to Riverview from the office at 5314 N Falkenburg Road. It holds state certified residential and building contractor licenses CRC1336072 and CBC1258366. Tampa customers rate the office 4.4 stars across 193 Google reviews. Carpentry and repair lists are what Riverview books most, with fans and lanai screens close behind. The estimate is free, the price is in writing before work starts, and the work carries a one year warranty.

Can a handyman fix cracked stucco on a Riverview house?

Yes, as long as it is cracks and patches. The handyman opens the crack, fills it, and matches the texture so the wall paints out even. If the stucco is coming off a whole wall, we will tell you at the estimate.

Who does bathroom remodeling in Riverview, FL?

We do, with our own handymen and under our own contractor licenses. It can be a small hall bath or a full remodel of the primary bath. We plan the design and the budget with you, handle the demolition, and set waterproofing behind the new shower tile. Most bathroom remodels take one to two weeks. When the work needs a permit, we pull it from Hillsborough County, and you get the full price in writing before the old vanity comes out.

Can you install a new toilet in a Riverview home?

Glad to. We set the new toilet on the drain and shutoff valve that are already there, and we haul the old one away. Plumbing work like a moved drain, a new valve, or a broken flange goes to a licensed plumber.

Do you repair drywall in newer Riverview homes?

Yes. A young house still settles, and that shows up as nail pops and cracks at the seams. We tape, texture, and paint the repair so it disappears into the wall. A ceiling stain from water damage gets fixed once the leak behind it has been stopped.

How soon can a handyman get to Riverview?

We can usually schedule within a week, and a small repair is often sooner. Riverview keeps us steady in every month, so there is no rush season to work around. A person calls you back within one business day to set the time.

Is the estimate free when I call a handyman in Riverview, FL?

Yes. Send the details and a few photos, or contact us by phone, and a small repair can often be priced from that. For a bathroom or a set of cabinets, someone comes out and measures. Either way, the cost is in writing before work starts, and the price you approve is the bill you get.
