“Dream team! On top of doing a great job on our bathroom remodel, they were very responsive, organized, and detailed. I've worked with a lot of contractors and they might be my favorite. Call them!”
“They installed a vanity in our bathroom that required a complete rewiring of our plumbing. The job was completed beautifully, our guy was extremely friendly and communicative throughout the whole process. Very high recommend!”
“The Handyman Company did a great job from beginning to end on the backsplash in my kitchen. Their communication was excellent, they showed up when they said they would and their workmanship was incredible. I had talked to a few companies prior and it was like pulling teeth trying to get those guys to follow up. The Handyman Company is run like a company is supposed to be run. I have already booked them for another job on my house and would recommend them to anyone looking for any type of work on their house.”
“Hi Brian, stop by and he was very helpful in solving my door problem thanks for your service”
“On time, price as quoted and went the extra mile. Easy and efficient. Would use the service again.”

“Great service and the repair was done to my satisfaction.”
“Very prompt, helpful and thorough. It’s not cheap, but you get quality work”
“David Becerra and his crew are highly skilled and very hard working people. They are diligent, trustworthy and very competitive in terms of pricing. I recommend them.”
“I have had the same handyman once before, and did the most incredible work at my home. I cannot thank you enough for work that was provided.”
What We Handle
Full Gut Remodels
Everything comes out and the room gets rebuilt as a complete bathroom renovation: new tile, new vanity, new fixtures, new lighting. A new bathroom you would design today, in the footprint you already own, for the rooms where you would rather start fresh than patch.
Walk-In Shower Builds
Tiled walk-in showers with proper waterproofing behind the wall, sized to what the space allows. Niches, benches, and glass included in the plan from day one.
Vanities & Counters
New vanities set level and sealed, sized to how much you need to store before the vanity is chosen. Custom cabinetry is an option through our carpentry crews. Counters fitted, sinks and faucets plumbed and tested before we call the job done.
Tile Floors & Walls
Floor and wall tile set straight, cut clean around fixtures, grouted, and sealed so the finish holds up to daily use. Porcelain and ceramic hold up best in wet rooms, slip resistance matters underfoot, and a solid subfloor is what keeps tile from cracking.
Lighting & Fixtures
Vanity lighting, exhaust fans, and finish fixtures installed as part of the remodel, with general room light layered over task lighting at the mirror, not left dangling as loose ends for later.
Tub & Surround Updates
Keeping the bathtub? We replace surrounds, update fixtures, and refresh the tile so the room reads new without a full gut. It is the right call when the bath already fits how you live.

One Crew from Demo to Walkthrough
Yes, we remodel bathrooms, and it is the project people ask us for most. The bathroom works harder than any room in the house and shows its age first. Remodeling it changes how the home feels every single morning. It is also the project where hiring wrong hurts most. A bathroom packs tile, plumbing fixtures, electrical, and waterproofing into one small room, and every step depends on the one before it.
The Handyman Company has remodeled Florida bathrooms since 1999, and our crews are our own employees, not a chain of subcontractors. One licensed crew takes your bathroom from demo to final walkthrough. The tile, vanity, fixtures, and lighting go in the right order, by people who answer to us. Before anything starts you get a written scope, and the price is guaranteed in writing. No allowance games, and no surprise change orders for work we should have seen coming.
Want ideas before you call? Our crews' finished bathrooms, all in real Florida homes, are worth a look. Then call 800-931-1106 for a free estimate at your house. A person answers, and we would be glad to walk the room with you.

How We Run a Bathroom Remodeling Project
A bathroom packs four trades into the smallest room in the house. The order of operations is the job.
- 1
Walk the room and write the scope
We take careful measurements, talk through what stays and what goes, and help you land the design: tile, vanity, and fixture decisions all settled up front. Everything goes into one written scope with one price on it.
- 2
Demo, and a look at what the room was hiding
Old tile, drywall, tub, and vanity come out, and we inspect the framing and plumbing while the walls are open. Demo looks like easy savings to do yourself, until a pry bar finds a supply line. It stays with the crew. Anything unexpected gets shown to you and priced in writing before we touch it.
- 3
Rough-in through the proper trades
Plumbing and electrical adjustments happen now, while everything is open. We coordinate the trades so you are not scheduling anyone yourself, and the work is done to local code. Finish fixtures get ordered early too, because one backordered faucet can stall a whole bathroom.
- 4
Waterproof, then tile
Moisture-rated backer and sealed corners go in before the first tile. Waterproofing is the part of the remodel you will never see, and it is the part that decides how long the rest of it lasts.
- 5
Fixtures, glass, and finish
Vanity set level, counters on, lighting and fan in. Shower glass is measured off the finished tile so it fits the opening that actually exists. Where the scope calls for it, the tub or enclosure goes in before the finish flooring.
- 6
The punch walkthrough
You walk the room with the crew before we call it done. Whatever you catch goes on the list, and the list gets closed.

Built for Florida
Florida humidity decides how a bathroom ages
A Florida bathroom fights humidity every day of the year. The outside air is already loaded with moisture before anyone turns on a hot shower, so steam that would clear out of a northern bathroom hangs around here. That is why ventilation is not an extra on our bathroom remodeling jobs. A properly sized exhaust fan, moisture-rated materials, and sealed tile joints decide whether the remodel still looks right years from now.
It shows in the details you cannot see, too. We use moisture-appropriate backer behind wet walls, seal the grout, and caulk every change of plane so water has nowhere to sit. Skip those steps in this climate and the bathroom will tell on the installer before long. Ours are built for the air they live in.
What Moves a Bathroom Remodel Estimate
What stays where it is
Keeping the toilet, sink, and shower in their current spots keeps the plumbing simple. Moving fixtures is possible, but it is the single biggest scope change in this room, and we will price both versions if you are torn.
The tile you choose and how it is laid
Large format tile covers wall fast. Small mosaics and patterns like herringbone are mostly labor. Neither is wrong, but tile shape, pattern, and finishes all move the labor, and we will tell you where each is worth it.
The shower build
A prefab pan with tiled walls, a fully tiled shower, and a curbless entry are three different amounts of work under the same word. This choice moves the number more than any fixture.
What we find behind the walls
Old repairs, corroded valves, and past leaks live behind Florida tile. Our policy is simple: we show you, we price it in writing, and nothing gets buried behind the new work. A realistic budget leaves room for what the walls might be hiding, and the written price is how we keep that from becoming a fight.

Bathroom Remodeling: Common Questions
Who is the best bathroom remodeling company in Florida?
The Handyman Company runs bathroom remodels with its own licensed crews from demo to final walkthrough, so the tile, plumbing fixtures, carpentry, and paint all answer to one company. Florida contractor licenses CRC1336072 and CBC1258366, one written price, and a one year warranty have made bathrooms core remodel work across six offices since 1999.
Do I need a licensed contractor for bathroom remodeling in Florida?
For most remodeling work in Florida, yes, and the license protects you. Whoever you compare us against, ask for the license number and an itemized estimate. The Handyman Company is a Florida certified contractor, licenses CRC1336072 and CBC1258366, insured and bonded. That is the paper trail you want behind the tile if anything ever comes into question.
How much does a bathroom remodel cost?
Room size, what stays in place, and the tile and fixtures you pick drive the number more than anything else. A sensible budget leaves a cushion for what demo might reveal. We walk the room, write one price for the whole scope, and that price holds through the job. Demo does not start until you have approved it.
Who actually does the work in my house?
Our own employees, and they treat your house like the people they love live there. We have remodeled Florida bathrooms since 1999 with employee crews, not subcontractors, and one crew carries your bathroom from demo to final walkthrough. More than 100,000 customers have had us in their homes.
Can you remodel within the layout I already have?
Yes, and most bathroom remodels keep the existing footprint. It keeps the project simpler and puts the budget into the finishes you touch every day. If you want fixtures moved, that changes the scope. We lay out both versions in the written estimate so you can compare them honestly.
Is the remodel covered by a warranty?
Yes. Everything we do carries our one year warranty, whole remodel projects included, not just the small stuff.
Can we live in the house during the remodel?
Almost everyone does. The bathroom being remodeled is out of service while we work, and we keep the work area contained and cleaned up. Material lead times drive the schedule more than anything, so ask for the sequencing details early. If it is the only bathroom in the house, tell us up front and we will plan the sequence around that. It is no trouble at all.
