What We Handle
Toilet Replacement
The old toilet comes off, the toilet flange gets cleaned and checked, and the new one goes down on a fresh wax ring and new bolts. We level it, snug the bolts without cracking the porcelain, connect a new water supply line, and flush it until we are sure it stays dry underneath.
Running Toilet Repair
A toilet that hisses or refills on its own is wasting water all day and running up the water bill. It is nearly always the flapper, the fill valve, or a chain that catches. We replace the worn part instead of the whole toilet, and we tell you when a repair makes more sense than a new one.
Wobbly Toilet Reset
A wobbly toilet breaks the wax seal a little more every time someone sits down. We pull the toilet, scrape off the old ring, check the floor underneath, and reset it on new wax with plastic shims where the floor is uneven. A wax ring seals once, so it is never reused after the toilet has been lifted.
Toilet Leaking at the Base
Water around the toilet base usually means the wax ring failed, and sometimes the tank bolts or the supply line are the real culprit. We find which it is before we fix anything, so you are not paying for a new ring when the leak was a loose nut.
Comfort Height Toilets
A taller bowl makes sitting down and standing up easier on knees and hips. We swap a standard toilet for a comfort height one and pair it with a grab bar if that would help.
Old Toilet Removal and Cleanup
The old toilet, the packaging, and the scraped-off wax leave with us. The floor around the new toilet gets wiped down and the base gets a clean bead of silicone caulk where your floor calls for it.

We set and repair toilets on the drain and shutoff valve your home already has. A broken flange in the slab, a shutoff valve that leaks at the wall, a clog past the toilet, moving the toilet or adding a second toilet in a new spot, and wall mounted toilets that hang on a carrier inside the wall are plumbing work for a licensed plumber. If we find one of those, we tell you first, before anything comes apart.

A Toilet That Runs or Leaks Usually Needs a Part, Not a New Toilet
If your toilet hisses at night or water shows up around the base, take a breath. Most of the time the existing toilet is fine. A rubber flapper in the toilet tank has gone stiff, a fill valve sticks, or the wax seal under the bowl has given up. Each of those is a part, and the part costs far less than a new toilet.
Our craftsman finds which one it is before anything gets replaced. We check in order: a tank sweating in the summer air, then the braided supply line, then the tank bolts, and only then the wax ring under the bowl. Each of those can put water on the floor, and only one of them means pulling the toilet.

When It Is Time for a New Toilet, It Is One Short Visit
A cracked tank, a bowl etched by hard water that will not come clean, or a toilet that clogs every week is ready to go. You pick the right toilet, or ask us what fits, and the toilet installation is quick work for our handymen. The old toilet is lifted straight up, never dragged across your tile. The flange gets checked, the new toilet goes down level on a fresh wax ring, and the old one leaves with us.
Most customers put the toilet on a longer list of additional repairs. A towel bar, a drywall patch, a sticky door down the hall: the same craftsman does all of it in the same visit, on one written price.

An Easier Toilet for Knees and Hips
A comfort height toilet sits closer to chair height, so sitting down and standing up take less effort. For a parent moving in, a recovery after surgery, or anyone with sore knees, it is one of the kindest small changes a house can get.
Pair it with a grab bar set into solid backing beside the toilet, and the bathroom is safer the same day. Before we finish, we check that the door still swings clear of the taller bowl, because a comfortable seat is no help if the door will not close. We would be glad to look at the whole room with you and suggest what would help most.
Repair It or Replace It?
You do not have to work this out alone, and we will give you a straight answer at the visit. These are the signs we look for.
- It runs or refills by itself: usually a flapper or fill valve, a repair, not a new toilet.
- It rocks when you sit: a reset on a new wax ring, as long as the floor underneath is sound.
- Water shows up around the base: a failed seal most of the time, and worth fixing before it soaks the floor.
- The bowl or tank is cracked: time for a new toilet, since cracked china cannot be sealed for good.
- The toilet bowl is etched by hard water and never looks clean: a new toilet fixes what scrubbing cannot.
- It clogs every week, or the flush does not empty the bowl: often an older low-flush design, and a newer toilet usually ends it.
- It needs one repair after another: past a point, a new toilet makes more sense than the next fix.
- It sits too low for comfort: a comfort height toilet is a simple swap on the same drain.

Picking the New Toilet
Most customers buy their own toilet so they get the look they want, and we install what you bought. A few choices matter more than the color.
Rough-in size
The distance from the wall behind the toilet to the center of the drain has to match the new toilet, or it will not sit right. Measure from the finished wall, not the baseboard, to the bolts on the floor. Most homes use the common size, but older Florida houses sometimes do not, so measure before you buy, or ask us to measure at the estimate.
Our tip: Add a photo of the old toilet to your estimate request, with a tape measure running from the wall to the bolt caps, and we will confirm the size before you buy.
Round or elongated bowl
An elongated toilet bowl is more comfortable for most adults. Round bowls take up less room, which matters in a small hall bath where the door swings close to the front of the toilet.
Our tip: Before you pick elongated for a small bath, measure from the front of the old bowl to the door or the vanity. If it is already tight, round is the kinder choice.
Standard or comfort height
Comfort height bowls sit a few inches taller, closer to chair height. They are easier for most grown-ups and a real help for anyone with sore knees, though a standard height can suit young kids better.
Our tip: If anyone in the house has knee or hip trouble, pair the taller toilet with a grab bar beside it. We can set both on the same visit.
One piece or two piece
A one piece toilet has no seam between the tank and bowl, so it is easier to clean. A two piece toilet costs less and is lighter to carry up the stairs. Both install the same way.

What Florida water does to a toilet
Much of Florida draws its water from limestone, and that hard water leaves mineral scale on everything inside the tank. Flappers stiffen and fill valves stick, so the toilet runs and the water bill creeps up. Scale also narrows the rim jets under the bowl, and the flush loses its push long before the china wears out. A new flapper and fill valve bring most of them back.
Summer humidity brings the other Florida problem. A cold tank in a warm, damp bathroom sweats, and the drips can look just like a leak at the base. We check which one you have before touching the seal. Most Florida homes sit on a concrete slab, too, so a toilet that rocks on tile is rarely a rotten floor. It is usually a wax ring that needs a reset and a few shims.

Water off, tank empty
We close the water supply valve, flush, and sponge out the remaining water in the tank and bowl. If the shutoff will not close all the way, we stop and tell you, because that valve is plumber work.

Old toilet out, flange checked
The old toilet is lifted straight up and set on a pad, the wax gets scraped clean, and the drain gets a rag so no sewer gas comes into the room. We look hard at the flange and the floor around it. The closet flange should sit level with the finished floor or a little above it, and one that sits low under new tile, a broken flange, or a soft floor gets named before anything new goes down.

New toilet set
New closet bolts, a fresh wax ring, and the toilet lowered straight down so the seal stays whole. We check the floor level, shim where it dips, hand tighten the nuts, then finish them evenly with a wrench, and cap the bolts.

Connect and test
A new braided supply line goes on, the water comes back, and we flush it again and again. We check under the tank, around the base, and at the valve until everything stays dry.

Do I need a plumber or a handyman to replace a toilet?
