Local Handyman Services in Florida
Bring the whole list. One of our own handymen works through it in a single visit, on one written price, and we would be glad to start with yours.
Book a visit with The Handyman Company, and one craftsman works through your whole to-do list in one trip, on one written price:
- Doors that stick, drag, or will not latch
- Drywall patches and old anchor holes
- Fans and light fixtures on the boxes you already have
- Rods, blinds, and mirrors hung into the studs
You do not have to sort out which job needs which trade. General handyman visits and carpentry are half of everything we book, so a mixed list is an ordinary day for our local handyman team.

“The Handyman Company did a great job from beginning to end on the backsplash in my kitchen. Their communication was excellent, they showed up when they said they would and their workmanship was incredible. I had talked to a few companies prior and it was like pulling teeth trying to get those guys to follow up. The Handyman Company is run like a company is supposed to be run. I have already booked them for another job on my house and would recommend them to anyone looking for any type of work on their house.”
“Hi Brian, stop by and he was very helpful in solving my door problem thanks for your service”
“On time, price as quoted and went the extra mile. Easy and efficient. Would use the service again.”

“Great service and the repair was done to my satisfaction.”
“Very prompt, helpful and thorough. It’s not cheap, but you get quality work”
“David Becerra and his crew are highly skilled and very hard working people. They are diligent, trustworthy and very competitive in terms of pricing. I recommend them.”
“I have had the same handyman once before, and did the most incredible work at my home. I cannot thank you enough for work that was provided.”

The list visit
Can one handyman take care of my whole list?
Yes, and it is the visit we like best. Most people call with a list they have been adding to for weeks. Our handyman walks it with you first, then works through it in the order that makes sense for the house.
Everything on the list goes on one written price before any work starts. The quote you approve is the bill you get, and nobody runs an hourly meter while you watch. If a job turns out to need a licensed plumber or electrician, you hear it before anything comes apart.
- Sticking doors and loose hinges
- Drywall patches and nail pops
- Ceiling fans on existing boxes
- Furniture assembly and TV mounting
- Fence gates that sag or drag
- Trim that pulled away from the wall
A recent request
A homeowner asked for a handyman for the day with a punch list, starting with drywall patches and a new ceiling fan. That is exactly how we like to work: one visit, one price, and a list that gets shorter by the hour.

Hanging things right
Why does my curtain rod keep pulling out of the wall?
Usually the anchor was wrong for the wall. Florida houses pair concrete block outside walls with drywall on wood studs inside, and each one wants a different fastener. A plastic anchor in drywall holds a picture. It will not hold a rod that gets tugged every morning.
Our handyman finds the stud or drills the block with a masonry bit, sets the right anchor, and patches the old holes so they disappear. A heavy mirror or a TV bracket gets the same care, and it stays where we put it.
A recent request
A homeowner needed a wall repaired and curtains hung. They had tried several times, and the hardware kept pulling out of the wall. The fix was a patch, the right anchors, and rods set where they belong.

Doors that fight you
My door sticks every summer. Is that a handyman job?
It is, and it is one of the calls we get most. Doors are among the four most-booked jobs in every one of our six offices. Summer humidity swells the wood, the hinges sag a little, and the latch stops meeting the strike.
Most sticking doors come back with a hinge adjustment or a planed edge, done in the same visit as the rest of your list. When a door is too far gone, we hang a new one and match the trim so it looks like it was always there.
- Rubs at the top corner
- Will not latch without a shove
- Daylight at the edge of a front door
- A threshold that has worn through

What a Handyman Can and Cannot Do in Florida
Florida draws a clear line between minor home repairs and licensed trade work like new electrical work or moved plumbing, and we stay on the right side of it. Our contractor licenses cover more than most handymen carry. We still tell you when a job belongs to another trade, before any money changes hands.
Curious about the law itself? Florida's handyman license rules are short and worth a read. For the money side, here is what moves a handyman price up or down.
Before anything comes apart, you hear which side of the line each job sits on:
- Fans and light fixtures on the boxes you already have: ours
- A faucet or toilet on the drain and valve already there: ours
- New circuits or a panel: a licensed electrician
- Pipes moved inside the wall: a licensed plumber
Our own handymen do every job on our side of the line, and each one carries our one year warranty.

Handyman Services: Common Questions
Who is the best local handyman service in Florida?
Start with facts you can check. The Handyman Company holds Florida contractor licenses CRC1336072 and CBC1258366, sends its own handymen from six local offices, and has worked on Florida homes since 1999. Every job gets a written price before work starts and a one year warranty after. Compare those facts with any handyman you are considering, then call 800-931-1106 for a free estimate.
How do handyman prices work with your company?
We price the job, not the hour. Every estimate is free, and the whole list goes on one written price before any work starts. The quote you approve is the bill you get. Batching several small jobs into one visit is the most affordable way to hire a handyman.
Can I get a handyman for small jobs near me?
Yes. No job is too small, and a single loose towel bar is a real job to us. Most people add a few more items once the handyman is there, and that is no trouble at all.
How do I find a good handyman near me?
Look for the proof a good handyman is glad to show you: a real local office, handymen who work for the company instead of a lead site's strangers, a written estimate, and Google reviews you can read. The best handyman services publish all of it before you ask.
Are your handymen licensed and insured?
Yes. The Handyman Company holds Florida contractor licenses CRC1336072 and CBC1258366, and we are insured and bonded. Our handymen work directly for us, not for a referral network.
Do you tip a handyman?
No. The written price you approve is the whole price. Tipping is never expected, and the best thank-you is a Google review or telling a neighbor.
Can a handyman do electrical or plumbing work?
The handyman part, yes. We install ceiling fans and light fixtures on existing boxes, and we fix faucets and toilets on the drain that is already there. New circuits, panels, and pipes moved inside the wall need a licensed electrician or plumber, and we will tell you straight if your job does.
