“Bob took care of my water damaged drywall ceiling. Very timely, knowledgeable, and simply very nice guy. I will definitely call handyman again and request Bob for future work.”
“He repaired 3 of my ceilings. One had water damage from a past roof leak and the other two were from the house settling (my home was built 1928). It took several visits and he took time to do it right. I would recommend this service again.”
“Hired Zack and Phill G. to repair major termite and water damage to one of my interior home walls. I was completely satisfied with their work and would hire either of them again.”
“The Handyman Company did a great job from beginning to end on the backsplash in my kitchen. Their communication was excellent, they showed up when they said they would and their workmanship was incredible. I had talked to a few companies prior and it was like pulling teeth trying to get those guys to follow up. The Handyman Company is run like a company is supposed to be run. I have already booked them for another job on my house and would recommend them to anyone looking for any type of work on their house.”
“Hi Brian, stop by and he was very helpful in solving my door problem thanks for your service”
“On time, price as quoted and went the extra mile. Easy and efficient. Would use the service again.”
“I needed several openings around outdoor lights sealed. They did an excellent job and it was reasonably priced. Very happy with their work!”
“Great service and the repair was done to my satisfaction.”
“Very prompt, helpful and thorough. It’s not cheap, but you get quality work”
“David Becerra and his crew are highly skilled and very hard working people. They are diligent, trustworthy and very competitive in terms of pricing. I recommend them.”
What We Handle
Ceiling Repair After a Leak
Stains, sags, and the access holes cut during the leak repair. We rebuild the ceiling, match the texture, and finish it clean.
Drywall Cutout & Replacement
Waterlogged drywall never comes back. We cut to sound material, hang new board, and tape and finish the seams so the wall reads as one surface.
Texture & Paint Blending
Knockdown, orange peel, or smooth: the repair gets blended into the room and painted to match, so the fix disappears.
Trim & Baseboard Replacement
Swollen baseboards and casing get replaced and repainted, not glued back down to fail again.
Flooring Repair After Water
Buckled plank, lifted laminate, and damaged subfloor sections repaired or replaced and tied back into the surrounding floor.
We do the rebuild, not the dry-out
Water extraction, structural drying, and mold work are a separate licensed trade. If your loss is fresh, call a plumber or dry-out company first, or call us and we will point you in the right direction. Once the leak is fixed and everything is dry, we take it from there and put the house back together.

We Take the Rebuild Handoff
A burst supply line, a roof leak, an AC drain pan that overflowed into the ceiling. Once the water stops and everything dries out, you are left staring at the damage it caused: stained and sagging drywall, swollen baseboards, buckled flooring, a ceiling with a hole cut in it. That rebuild is exactly the work we do.
Here is how the sequence usually goes. A plumber or roofer stops the leak. If there was standing water, a dry-out company handles the drying. Then most of those companies hand the repairs off, and homeowners are left finding someone to actually put the house back together. The Handyman Company takes that handoff. Our own crews cut out the ruined material, rebuild the drywall and ceilings, replace the trim, repair the flooring, and match the texture and paint so the room looks the way it did before the water.
We have done this work across Florida since 1999, the price is guaranteed in writing before we start, and everything we rebuild carries our one year warranty.

From Leak to Like It Never Happened
Water damage repairs go wrong when the order goes wrong. This is the sequence that holds.
- 1
Stop the source
A plumber or roofer fixes the leak. This is not our trade, and anyone who offers to rebuild before the source is fixed is selling you the same repair twice.
- 2
Dry it out
If there was standing water or soaked framing, a dry-out company handles extraction and drying. Small losses that dried on their own can skip this step.
- 3
Scope the rebuild
We walk every room the water touched, floor to ceiling, and put the entire rebuild in one written price. Hidden damage we find behind the first cutout gets discussed with you, not buried in the bill.
- 4
Cut out and rebuild
Ruined drywall comes out to sound material, and we confirm the cavity is dry before anything gets closed up. New board, tape, and finish follow.
- 5
Finish to match
Texture blended, paint matched, baseboards and casing replaced and caulked. The standard is simple: a guest should not be able to find where the damage was.
Built for Florida
Why this is a year-round Florida job
Florida gives water a lot of ways in. Summer storms find worn roof flashing, AC systems run hard enough that a clogged condensate line can soak a ceiling in a weekend, and slab-built homes send supply lines through walls where a pinhole leak goes unnoticed until the drywall tells on it.
Rainy season, June through October, is when the ceiling calls peak. The important thing is order: fix the source first, dry it out, then rebuild. Rebuilding over a live leak just schedules the same repair twice, and we will tell you that honestly if we see it.

Before We Can Rebuild, Make Sure
- The leak is actually fixed, not just stopped for now. A rebuild over a live leak fails, and we will not close up a wet cavity.
- Everything is dry. Drywall and framing hold moisture longer than they look like they do, and we check before we cover anything.
- Any mold concern has been handled by a licensed mold company. That is a separate trade in Florida, and it comes before us, not after.
- You have photos of the damage if an insurance claim is involved. Take them before the cutout, from every room, including inside closets.
- You know what your insurer needs. Our written scope and price is the paperwork an adjuster wants, and we are happy to walk it with you.
Not sure where you are in that sequence? Call 800-931-1106 and we will tell you what comes next, even when the next call is not to us.

Water Damage Drywall & Ceiling Repair: Common Questions
Do you find and fix the leak itself?
Plumbing and roof leak repair is its own trade, so the source gets fixed first by a plumber or roofer. What we do is everything after: rebuilding the drywall, ceilings, trim, and flooring the water ruined. If you are not sure who to call first, call us at 800-931-1106 and we will point you in the right direction.
Do you handle mold?
No. Mold work is a separately licensed trade in Florida, and you want a company that does exactly that. Once any mold concern is cleared and the area is dry, we handle the rebuild.
The plumber cut holes in my ceiling and walls to fix the pipe. Is that the kind of thing you repair?
That is one of our most common calls. We square up the access holes, patch or replace the drywall, match the texture, and paint, so the room shows no sign of the repair.
Will my insurance cover the repair, and do you work with claims?
Coverage depends on your policy and the cause of the loss, and that conversation belongs with your insurer. What we provide is a clear written scope and price for the rebuild, which is exactly the paperwork an adjuster wants to see.
How soon after the leak can you rebuild?
As soon as the source is fixed and the materials are dry. Rebuilding over damp framing or drywall traps moisture and fails, so we will check it is actually dry before we close anything up.
