Our Handyman Services List: Every Job We Do in Florida

Every repair, remodel, and maintenance job our own handymen take on, grouped the way a house breaks. You do not need to know which one you need. Send the list, and we will sort it.

The Handyman Company's work falls into three kinds, and every job on your list fits one of them:

One handyman can take items from more than one group on the same visit. Outside the house, stucco repairs outnumber siding repairs three to one, and hurricane shutters are the storm job booked most.

“I've used The Handyman Company for many years now, on projects ranging from hanging pictures to gutting and renovating two bathrooms, on my home and my rental property and I can't imagine using any other handyman.”
Amy Baruch· Tampa office review
“They did a fabulous job at my son’s new house. He had ceiling fans put up, ten curtain rods, weather stripping put up on the front door, and many pictures hung up.”
Michelle Henning· Jacksonville office review
“The Handyman Company did a great job from beginning to end on the backsplash in my kitchen. Their communication was excellent, they showed up when they said they would and their workmanship was incredible. I had talked to a few companies prior and it was like pulling teeth trying to get those guys to follow up. The Handyman Company is run like a company is supposed to be run. I have already booked them for another job on my house and would recommend them to anyone looking for any type of work on their house.”

Every Service

The Full Handyman Services List, by Group

From small repairs to home improvement projects, every service below has its own page with photos, the questions people ask, and what the visit is like.

Handyman repairs

What can a handyman fix on one visit?

More than most people expect. Our handyman walks your list with you, then works through it in one trip on one written price. The same person who patches the wall can hang the TV and swap the light fixture before lunch.

General handyman visits and carpentry are half of everything we book. Nothing on that side of the list needs a permit, and nobody runs an hourly meter while you watch.

  • Drywall repair and texture matching
  • Light fixtures and fans on existing boxes
  • TV mounting and furniture assembly
  • Grab bars set into the studs
  • Minor plumbing fixtures in place
  • Doors, trim, and caulk

A homeowner had three closets to prep for shelving, a bathroom exhaust fan to replace, and two doors that kept jamming. All of it went on one written price.

Home remodeling

When does a repair turn into a remodel?

When fixing the room stops making sense. A leaking tub surround can become a walk-in shower. A cracked backsplash can become a kitchen refresh. We tell you honestly which side of that line your room is on.

Remodels run as a state certified contractor, with the price in writing before demo day. Anything found once a wall is open gets its own written price for you to approve first.

Commercial work

Do you work on businesses and rental properties too?

Yes. Offices, storefronts, condo associations, and rental owners use the same handymen and the same written price. The insurance certificate is on file before the first visit, and the work is scheduled around your hours.

There are no long-term contracts. Call when the next list comes up, and one point of contact takes it from there.

What We Do Not Do, and Who Does

We say so at the estimate, before you spend anything, when a job belongs to another trade:

  • Roofing and roof leaks: a licensed roofer
  • Drying out after a flood: a water mitigation company
  • New circuits or a panel: a licensed electrician
  • Moving drains or pipes: a licensed plumber

Sliding glass doors are the one repair we turn down on our own side, because the better fix is a French door conversion. Pool cage roofs go to an aluminum contractor.

Not Sure Which Service You Need?

You do not have to be. Most people who call us describe what is wrong, not what it is called, and that is all we need. Send the list the way you would tell a friend, add photos if you have them, and the office sorts each item into the right group.

A person answers the phone, and a message left after hours is returned within one business day. The estimate is free, and the quote you approve is the bill you get.

Our Services: Common Questions

Who offers the most complete list of handyman services in Florida?

Compare what each company can actually do under its own licenses. The Handyman Company covers handyman repairs, remodeling, and commercial work under Florida contractor licenses CRC1336072 and CBC1258366, with its own handymen in six Florida offices since 1999. Every service on the list gets a written price before work starts and a one year warranty.

What services does a handyman provide?

Repairs and installs where nothing new runs through the walls. Drywall, doors, trim, paint, tile, and fixtures on the boxes and drains you already have are handyman work. New circuits and moved plumbing belong to licensed trades.

How do I know if my project is a handyman job or a remodel?

Fixing what your house already has is a handyman job. Changing what the room is counts as a remodel. If your project sits in between, call 800-931-1106 and describe it, and we will point you to the right service in one conversation.

Are estimates really free?

Yes, on every service. A local office looks at the work, then puts the price in writing before anything starts, and the quote you approve is what you pay.

What should I expect during a free estimate?

Someone from your local office looks at the work and listens to what you want. Then the price goes in writing with the scope spelled out. There is no obligation, no pressure, and never a large payment up front. Offices are open daily 8 AM to 5 PM, and 800-931-1106 reaches all six.

What home improvement projects need permits in Florida?

Anything structural or layout-changing needs a permit, and so does permitted plumbing or electrical work. Paint, patches, and most small repairs do not. As a state certified contractor we pull the permits our remodeling projects require.

What is the most requested handyman service?

General handyman visits and carpentry come first, then drywall and doors. Most customers do not stop at one item. The repair that prompted the call usually gets fixed alongside three or four others on the same written price.
